Manchester United's first pre-season match under Ruben Amorim finished in a goalless draw against Leeds United at the Strawberry Arena in Stockholm on Saturday, with neither side managing to break the other down.

United came close to scoring with chances at the end of both halves, with one falling to Chido Obi, and another to Ayden Heaven, yet neither of those opportunities could be finished off. Leeds also had their own chances, yet Tom Heaton denied their forwards with some brilliant stops.

It was a game that summed up the opening few weeks of pre-season, with plenty of stoppages, loose touches and sideways passes. However, there were some elements that one would need to take note of going into the new season.

Here are four things that one would have noticed during the game:

1) Matheus Cunha is a breath of fresh air

In the first-half, all eyes were on new signing Matheus Cunha.

The Brazilian made his United debut in Stockholm, and he was out to impress, wanting to make an impression straight away.

He did not disappoint, making a number of neat touches and flicks to bring his teammates into play.

But the area of his game that really stood out was his willingness to press and recover the ball, as well as his driving forward in possession. There were a number of instances when he took the ball into his stride and pushed forward, and others where he won the ball back for his team.

In what was a pretty drab first-half, Cunha really stood out, and it will be exciting to see him in the Premier League next month.

2) Leny Yoro is continuing to step up

One of the changes made at half-time was the introduction of Leny Yoro in the right centre-back position.

The Frenchman enjoyed a solid first season in United colours, despite the team's disastrous campaign. Against Leeds, the 19-year-old gave plenty of evidence that he seems to be on track to continue elevating his game.

Yoro remained his confident self, dribbling with the ball and making progress from the back.

But one of the standout elements of his performance was his insistence to switch the ball with long passes from the back. Yoro attempted this type of pass on more than one occasion, and he delivered it impeccably, finding his targets.

It is clear that Yoro will be a fundamental part of Amorim's system this season, and with him having a season under his belt now, he could be set to continue his progression and to become a mainstay in the team.

3) Patrick Dorgu growing in the team

When United signed Patrick Dorgu from Lecce in January, many fans did not know what to think about him.

Many knew that he was physical, but his first couple of months were filled with inconsistency, looking solid on occasions, and calamitous on others.

On Saturday, Dorgu was massively involved in the match right from when he was introduced at the break, looking his bright and energetic self.

During his 45 minutes on the pitch, the Dane won all of his aerial duels and tackles, and achieved an 85% pass accuracy. He also had opportunities to shoot and deliver the ball from the wings.

While his deliveries were still relatively questionable, but positionally he looked better than he did last season. He was getting into the right areas, and pushing forward constantly, much more in tune with how an Amorim side should be playing.

He arguably should have also had a goal late in the game, when the ball was squared to him, yet his shot was blocked by his own teammate and compatriot, Rasmus Hojlund.

It was not an exciting game, but Dorgu's introduction helped inject some pace and drive to a United team that badly needed it. Hopefully his impressive display is a sign of things to come.

4) Tom Heaton might be our best goalkeeper

Pre-season also means an opportunity for the experienced Tom Heaton to get a run out and make his customary summer appearances.

The 39-year-old came on at half-time for Altay Bayindir, and to be fair, he looked very solid in his outing.

Heaton calmed the situation down for United at times, and was also brought into action on a couple of occasions.

At the start of the half, Leeds United's Jayden Bogle was fed through, but Heaton made himself big and denied the full-back from close range. Just a few moments later, Largie Ramazani broke free in the penalty area, yet after cutting inside, he saw his effort brilliantly saved by the veteran goalkeeper, who tipped it away from the danger zone.

Heaton was largely untroubled aside from those two moments, but he looked confident and assured in his play.

With Andre Onana out injured and a doubt for the opening game of the season, and Bayindir really not looking that great, Heaton may genuinely be an option to start in goal against Arsenal.

Heaton is not expected to have a huge playing role this season, yet he might make his first competitive appearance for United in over two years next month.
