Manchester United's winning run came to an end on Saturday as a late Amad wondergoal got United a draw away to Nottingham Forest.

United broke the deadlock in the first half thanks to a Casemiro header from a corner that had riled up the Forest fans.

Ruben Amorim's side looked comfortable for the rest of the half, but they had a terrible start to the second half, scoring two goals very quickly through Morgan Gibbs-White and Nicolo Savona to turn the game around for Forest.

United pushed in search of an equaliser, and they got their goal after Amad latched on to a loose ball on the edge of the penalty area, hitting a delightful volley that sailed into the net. The Ivorian could have completed the comeback after having another strike in stoppage time being cleared off the line.

Here are the player ratings from Saturday's draw:

Senne Lammens 6

Solid throughout the game, looking comfortable when coming out to claim crosses, and also made a couple of important stops. Had no chance with either of the Forest goals.

Leny Yoro 6

Forest tried to attack down Yoro's side on multiple occasions, looking to utilise Callum Hudson-Odoi, and for the large part, the Frenchman handled that threat well.

Matthijs de Ligt 6

Another resolute display from the Dutchman, who put his body on the line time and time again. Could have probably done slightly better for the Forest second, but on the whole, a good performance.

Luke Shaw 7

United's best defender on the day, winning the ball on numerous occasions and helping to build United's attacks down the left. It will be difficult for Lisandro Martinez to get his starting spot back if Shaw continues to perform in the way he has been in recent weeks.

Amad 7

A mixed bag from Amad, but in general, quite a tidy display. He was one of United's most threatening players, linking up very well with Bryan Mbeumo, and having a couple of attempts of his own. Was completely overpowered by Gibbs-White for the equaliser, but rescued a point for United with a delightful volley. Could have also got a winner had it not been for Murillo's clearance.

Casemiro 7

Bossed the game and continued to show his quality when he has more support in midfield. Amorim's instruction for the attacking midfielders to tuck inside more and support Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes is working, as we are seeing the best of the Brazilian. Got the opening goal with a brilliant header, taking his tally to three goals for the season.

Bruno Fernandes 7

Probably United's best player on the day. While he was arguably a bit quiet on the ball in the first half, he grew into the game and was spraying passes across the pitch. Injected a sense of calm and had a shot smack the post when he tried his luck from range.

Diogo Dalot 4

Another unconvincing performance from the Portuguese wingback. He was exposed on a number of occasions, also producing some wayward passes. While he recovered well at times, he was rightfully hooked off.

Bryan Mbeumo 6

Mbeumo has been on top form this season, and he was oozing confidence whenever he got the ball. Looked very promising and arguably should have had a couple of assists.

Benjamin Sesko 5

A quiet game from United's big striker, who was keen on trying shots from long range. While he started very brightly, he faded out of the game, with Nikola Milenkovic completely marking him out of the match. Had an opportunity to control the ball when Murillo missed a long pass, but the Slovenian could not bring it down cleanly.

Matheus Cunha 6

A hardworking outing from the Brazilian, who repeatedly wanted to make things happen for United. Grew into the game after a relatively quiet period early in the second half.

Substitutions

Patrick Dorgu 6

Offered much more than Dalot, and was solid over the course of the time he was on the pitch. May start against Spurs, not because he has been brilliant, but because Dalot has been so underwhelming.

Noussair Mazraoui 5

Offered some quality on the ball, but had a careless pass intercepted that put United in danger. Needs match sharpness.

Manager - Ruben Amorim: 6

Quite a tough game for Amorim, given his performances are being put under the microscope now that United are performing better. He set up the team well, but it was always going to be difficult coming to the City Ground with a new manager in charge. Did not utilise many of his substitutions, possibly learning from the horrific performances from substitutes last week. At the end of the day, a point away at Forest is not a bad one.
