Manchester United and Bournemouth played out an absolute thriller at Old Trafford with eight goals being equally shared between the two sides in a wild game.

United came out of the blocks quickly, and they were very bright in the opening stages. Amad profited from some indecisive Bournemouth defending to head United in front early on. However, Antoine Semenyo capitalised on a mistake from Luke Shaw to equalise for Bournemouth, before Casemiro headed United back into the lead right before the break.

Yet right after the break, United looked very sloppy, and the visitors immediately drew level thanks to Evanilson, before Marcus Tavernier put Bournemouth in the lead just a few minutes later thanks to a free-kick.

However, United came back, and a delightful Bruno Fernandes free-kick equalised for the home side, before Matheus Cunha's first Old Trafford goal put Ruben Amorim's side back in front. Despite that, Junior Kroupi got a late equaliser for Bournemouth to ensure the spoils are shared.

Here are our player ratings from a mad night at Old Trafford:

Senne Lammens 6

A mixed game from the Belgian, who had no chance with the first two Bournemouth goals, but probably should have done much better for the Tavernier free-kick. Made two wonderful stops at the very end to preserve United's record of not losing home matches when leading at the break.

Leny Yoro 6

His side was relatively solid throughout the game, with him looking more assured than he has done in previous weeks.

Ayden Heaven 5

Seemed to be confident on the ball, looking to bring it out of the defence to push United forward. However, his inexperience was on show when defending, failing to close down Semenyo for the first goal, before not getting tight enough to Evanilson for the second.

Luke Shaw 4

Shaw was bullied off the ball for the first Bournemouth goal, but looked enterprising when he was pushed further forward. Not his best game this season.

Diogo Dalot 6

Another assured display from the Portuguese wingback. Provided a brilliant cross for the first goal and was always on the front foot. Should have had Semenyo sent off after the Ghanaian grabbed Dalot by the throat. Moved to the right-hand side in the second half and his influence fizzled out.

Casemiro 6

Got in the right place at the right time for his goal to continue scoring for United. Sometimes unconvincing on the ball and eventually conceded the free-kick that United suffered a goal from. Got a yellow card as a result and will now miss next week's game against Aston Villa.

Bruno Fernandes 7

Looked to always get United on the front foot in the first half, always pushing forward. Caught on the ball for the third Bournemouth goal, yet he responded with a sublime free-kick to draw United level. Provided the assist for Casemiro's goal to continue his sensational campaign.

Amad 7

One of United's most threatening players on the day. While he made a mess of an early pass to Mbeumo, he then got on the scoresheet with a tap in. United's main outlet, but was also culpable of slowing down the playing a bit too much in stoppage time.

Bryan Mbeumo 5

Not the Cameroonian's best game in a United shirt, who got in some very good positions, but his finishing was all over the place today. Could not find the back of the net with a couple of opportunities. Looked tired and in need of some rest, not the ideal situation given he is travelling for AFCON.

Mason Mount 7

A wonderful first-half performance from Mount, with him leading the press and doing essentially no wrong in the opening 45 minutes. His influence died down after the break and was subsequently substituted.

Matheus Cunha 8

One of his best games in a United shirt, linking up brilliantly with the other United forwards. Looked very bright and looked after the ball whenever he had it. Had loads of shots like usual, but he eventually got his goal after persevering.

Substitutes

Kobbie Mainoo 6

Came on at the hour-mark with United having to get back into the game. Calm and composed in a mad game, and got a good run out with him set to be involved more in the coming weeks.

Lisandro Martinez 5

Made a brilliant tackle, but also did not offer the defensive security United needed late on.

Benjamin Sesko 7

Came on and looked very promising, wanting to press and push forward whenever he could. Did well to force the ball to Cunha for the Brazilian's goal.

Joshua Zirkzee 5

A very late substitute as United looked to get a winner, but barely influenced the game.

Patrick Dorgu 5

Barely got on the ball.

Manager - Ruben Amorim 6

That first-half performance was as good as we have seen United play under Amorim during the year he has been here. United were looking vibrant going forward and could - and should - have had more than two goals at the break. United's performance dropped massively after the break, but the team showed great resilience to come from behind. His substitutions worked and they allowed his side to fight back and look promising going forward again. He will face a tough couple of few weeks with Mbeumo, Amad and Noussair Mazraoui all away due to AFCON, and Casemiro being missing against Villa.
